Kalahari - a Taste of Africa is an eccentric and unique South African store located in the Southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The store encapsulates owners, Fritz and Julienne Arnold's immense love of South Africa and its culture.
With its recent opening, the South African community of Perth has been amazed at the variety and quality of product both locally supplied and imported.
Any and every South African is bound to feel at home in Kalahari. The richness of the South African culture within Kalahari is undeniable. The store offers more than just South African favourites in terms of food, but instead offers you a piece of home.
There is always time for a chat while you have some delicious Koeksisters, melktert and peppermint crisp tert in the cafe area with your Sarie magazine at hand and Laurika Rauch’s voice filling you with wonderful memories.
The Arnold's are not only in the business of supplying you with your favourite South African goods, but also in supporting the world fair trade organisation by selling unique african handicraft made from materials such as recycled waste, wire and beads, telephone wire and textiles.
